Option #2

MakerPrep

MakerPrep is a part-time course for beginners interested in learning programming in JavaScript, with an environment catered towards preparing students to take MakerSquare's immersive program. The course is aimed at individuals who possess a familiarity with computers and the internet, who may (or may not) have tried to teach themselves some programming, but who have little or no formal technical training.

In the class, you will be led through coursework by competent MakerSquare instructors who are experts at teaching beginners the skills they need to flourish. Classroom time will be split between concept lectures, live-coding along with an instructor, and self-guided, exercise-based work to help you solidify the material. Classes take place on-site at our MakerSquare immersive campuses across the country.

By the end of the course, students should have a foundational understanding of programming and be more prepared to apply to a programming school like MakerSquare if they wish to pursue a career as a software engineer.

MakerPrep is available in Austin, Los Angeles and New York City.
